 Last weekend, Wildman visited the island of Oahu and took part in the Cruise Night held by Ron’s Performance Center. MOONEYES Hawaii Dealer, Pacific Rod & Custom helped out with the event, so Chico and Bob from the mainland flew over to help out as well. Wildman had . . . The 1st Annual Aloha Rod & Custom Super Show was held in April 18, 2009 (Saturday) at the Aloha Stadium in Hawaii. MOON of Japan’s master pinstriper, Hiro “WILDMAN” Ishii, created the pinstripe motif of Ed “Big Daddy” Roth which covers the bottom (underside) of the deck, around a standing Rat Fink. The entire design was printed on limited edition decks featuring the pinstriping in two-tone black and red color and sold in as exclusive Stormy (sk8shop in Japan) decks. A variant color version was produced in limited numbers exclusively for the 2008 Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show held in Japan back in December.
This years Grand National Roadster Show held at the Pomona Fairplex on Jan 26-28 featured as usual some of the finest hot rods, customs and motorcycles found anywhere. However, new this year was Hot Rod’s 1st annual pinstripers reunion which attracted new and old sign painters and pinstripers . . . |
